Continuity of Instruction Preparedness
What we are learning from our international colleagues who are currently experiencing virtual learning in elementary settings is that they wished they had had the chance to better prepare their children with tech tools.
Therefore, should we make the move to virtual learning, the time to begin introducing different tech tools to support any work that would go home via Seesaw is NOW!
Hilary and Mary Kelly will be reaching out to you all with suggestions, resources and tools you need to start discussions with your teams this week.
We would advise playing with the tools yourself over the weekend, and then begin implementing with your classes from next week.
Any questions, first seek Mary Kelly and Hilary, and then also feel free to come talk to one of us.

This impressive display will be showcased at the FAC Atrium Gallery. All are welcome!

From the EAL Department: EAL Strategy Talk, #3!
Thanks to all who have been attending the EAL Strategy Talks. We have had a great showing for our first two and I'm hoping we continue on an upward attendance climb!
Our next EAL Strategy Talk focuses on Listening Strategies. We will closely examine how the most used language skill (i.e. listening) gets sometimes neglected in instruction. In addition, attendees will leave with listening strategies that can quickly implement in class!
When: Tuesday, 25 February 2020, 7:30-8:15am
Where: Hall of Lights
As a reminder, these EAL Strategy Talks are optional to attend, but to make it a bit enticing... we offer breakfast and child care for those who need it. I hope to see you there!
